Terms of Service

1. What You're Agreeing To

By creating an account and using the BECOMER API, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. What BECOMER Provides

BECOMER provides a memory API. We store content you submit and return it when queried. That is the complete scope of our service.

We are infrastructure. We do not provide AI, reasoning, analysis, or any processing of your content beyond storage and retrieval.

3. Your API Key

• Your API key is your credential. Keep it private.
• You are responsible for all usage under your API key.
• If your key is compromised, rotate it in your dashboard or contact us at hello@becomer.net.
• We may suspend keys that show signs of abuse or policy violation.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not use BECOMER to store:

• Content that violates applicable law
• Content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
• Malicious code or data designed to harm our infrastructure

5. Developer Compliance Responsibility

BECOMER is a tool for developers. What you build with it is your responsibility.

Any application, product, or service built using the BECOMER API is solely the responsibility of the developer who built it. You are solely responsible for ensuring your application complies with all applicable laws, including data protection and privacy laws applicable to your end users.

We are not responsible for how you use the memories you store and retrieve through our API.

6. Data and Privacy

How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is part of these terms. In summary: your data is never sent to any third-party AI service, never sold, never shared for anyone else's use, and never used for any purpose other than serving your own queries.

7. Uptime and Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime, data unavailability, or service interruptions.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through your dashboard. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. All stored data is wiped within 24 hours of deletion.

9. Pricing and Payments

• Paid plans are billed as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
• Indian customers: prices are inclusive of applicable GST. A valid tax invoice is issued for each payment. GSTIN available on invoice.
• International customers: the export of services is zero-rated for Indian GST. You are responsible for any taxes applicable in your own jurisdiction.
• Payments are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
• We may change pricing with 30 days notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

BECOMER is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time through your dashboard.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India. Nothing in these terms removes any non-waivable statutory rights you may have under the consumer protection laws of your own country.
